Wild bees need YOU, and YOU need wild bees.

Did you see bees in your yard and garden this year? Many of us are not seeing as many as we used to. In fact, the #1 question people ask me at the farmers market is, "Where are all the bees?" If you are concerned about the plight of our pollinators - those tiny, fragile creatures that are responsible for the production of at least one-third of the fruits and vegetables we eat - there is something you can do. Support and raise solitary bees!
Come to my free class on Saturday, March 23rd to learn how to identify solitary bees, how to create a yard and garden that is welcoming to them, and even how to raise the most gentle of these bees to increase the number of wild bees in your community every year. If we can increase the population of wild bees, perhaps we can help to fill in the "bee gap" left by disappearing honeybees and maintain our food supply.  This class is NOT about honeybees.

Registration for Solitary Bees 101 is not required, but is appreciated. Mason bee nesting tubes and resource materials will be available for purchase at the class and everyone who attends will be entered in a drawing for a free Native Bee Guide and 50 nesting tubes, a $20 value.
